		<description><![CDATA[Waldorf education provides an inspiring alternative to high stakes testing in public schools. Many parents and teachers are turning to Waldorf education because it fosters a nourishing education for their children that builds capacity in areas of music, art, higher level thinking and community, as well as meaningful academics. 
Waldorf schools make up the largest association of independent schools in the free world. However, the are now many public charter and home school initiatives that are inspired by this approach. Waldorf education is a beautiful approach to educating children and is gaining interest throughout the nation.]]></description>

Most negatively impacted are social studies and science. Is this equitable practice for our nation's students? Focusing on tested subjects of reading, writing and math at the expense of social studies and science may lead to a nation of adults who don't know civics, economics, geography, history and science since the foundation for such learning begins in elementary school.]]></description>
